(Shortcuts: Data Visualization in WordPress // 5 Best WiFi Routers Compared)

Hey there,

Karol here, from CodeinWP.

Here's what's been going on in WordPress lately:

Data visualization is not WordPress' strongest point. Basically, everything that WordPress can display in an attractive way out the box are images. Anything else ... not so much. Tables, charts, large infographics; if you want to feature those, you'll need some additional (plugin) tools. But even tools alone won't give you a result that's great 100% of the time. Here are the strategies, methods and tools to visualize data on a WordPress website. [CodeinWP]

I'll risk saying that your WiFi router is one of the two most important work tools in your arsenal - the other one being your computer. It's simple, no router no work. Or, rather, if your WiFi router is sub-par, your frustration levels are going to be high throughout the day. And trust me, I know! I switched routers around two months ago and literally all of my WiFi problems vanished overnight. Here's our comparison of the top 5 WiFi routers in the market (I use #3, if you're curious). John Maeda released the 2019 Design In Tech Report with seven different experiential options! The abridged YouTube version gives a great run through and a bunch of insights in just 16 minutes. If nothing else, go through *Section 3: 'Awesome Humans'* to get a more nuanced view of the future and creative opportunities. Check it out. [DesignInTech.report]

Tool of the week:

Cloud Blocks is a great way to keep your total plugins low while also taking full advantage of (Gutenberg) block elements in WordPress. This plugin will serve WordPress and Drupal, and will allow you to install your essential blocks without committing to carrying around a huge library of useless extra plugins.
